About Ron Breeden

Ron Breeden was born in 1956 in Southern California to a creative family. His Father built cabinets and fine furniture. His Mother was a painter who gave up a career as a commercial artist to raise a family.

Ron began drawing at an early age and gained some local notoriety as the first cartoonist on his high school newspaper.

He attended college at Loma Linda University earning a Bachelors Degree. He went on to Achieve a Masters Degree at California State University at Los Angeles, a school very well respected for it’s art department.

Ron has shown at various galleries throughout Southern California, most notably in Los Angeles where he garnered the reputation as “The Dog Guy”.  Ron moved to Nevada City Thirteen years ago and has shown in Nevada City, Sacramento and several surrounding counties.

He has won a number of awards including a first place for three dimensional art from the Lyons Gallery, The Redlands symphony Award from The city of Redlands Department of Cultural affairs, a Curators Award from the 2011 KVIE Juried Art exhibit and Auction and in 2014 He won Best figurative Painting at the KVIE Juried Art exhibit and Auction.
